ABOUT

So, after thirty years as a practicing lawyer (still practicing after all those years!), I've decided to abandon the office and courthouse for a woodworking shop . . . full time!   After considerable encouragement from others, and selling a few pieces, I have decided to take my woodworking skills into the marketplace and offer my vision and skills to others, helping them create a piece worthy of heirloom status.

I've been doing woodworking of one sort or another most of my life; at least since 7th grade woodshop class. That's a little mahogany stool made in 7th grade woodshop.

Over the years woodworking has become a continuing passion and like most woodworkers, I love my tools. To a large extent mastery of tools, and patience coupled with vision, defines the outer limits of what any woodworker can do. My passion is designing and making new and unique pieces of furniture.  I enjoy solving construction and jointery challenges inherent in building new designs; all the while expanding and honing my skills.

As you look at the Gallery, remember that the items shown are really just examples of what may be created; it's not an inventory.  In fact, I don't carry an inventory, each piece is custom made for the buyer.  Further, remember that any piece of furniture can be made in just about any wood and/or finish that fits your fancy (although certain types of wood are more suited for certains types of furniture); and remember a well-made and cared for piece of furniture can last for hundreds of years.

Have your own heirloom piece created to enjoy and then pass along. Let's get together and you tell me your vision of furniture for your life.
